Abstract
The process of ethnic identification, in the source of which stands the need for social solidarity, passes to the phase of consolidation after the first phase of formation. During these days, they tend to shape their policies representing their common opinion to a great degree. Borders and the current phase of the identity are influential in determining forms of common policy. Members of the rising ethnos seek for more and more radical political tendencies in accordance with their need for solidarity, and vice versa. Decreasing need for solidarity dulls radicalism in political choices and takes concorde to the fore.
