Abstract
In this article it is explained how 2?hydroxy?5?(1?methyl?cycloalkyl)?acetophenone can be synthesized from the acylation reactions of para?(1?methylcyclopenthyl)?and para?(1?methylcyclohexyl)?phenols with acetic acid in presence of ZnCl2 catalyst.
