Abstract
In terms of the analysis of the Rossiada’s sources the author compares Jerusalem Delivered written by Torquato Tasso and Genriada written by Volter to the Sacred Writing of Mikhail Cheraskov and comes to the concludion that neither the epic form nor ethnic attributes are invincible obstacles for a pious author.
