Abstract
The electrical efficiency of motors can be improved by replacing the standard Aluminum electrical conductor in the motor rotor with copper, which has a much higher electrical conductivity. Manufacturers, in coordination with various manufacturing associations and in conjunction with voluntary government initiatives, have developed a wide range of motors with increased electrical efficiencies. This paper discusses the latest developments in eliminating losses in energy utilities and highlights various areas of applications of energy efficiency enhancement by reducing mechanical losses.
