Abstract
The aim of the study is to identify the value of honesty from an Islamic perspective and its religious and educational applications. The most significant results found in this study are that values from an Islamic perspective are principles, concepts and criteria derived from the fundamental tenets of Sharia. Honesty as a value in Islam refers to reserving the rights of both Allah- the creator- and creatures in the manner specified in Islam. The Muslim preacher ought to be a model in fulfilling the value of honesty and to be expressed in him in all life aspects. The school administration in all its element is concerned with applying the principles of honesty in all the processes of the school administration in accordance with God's orders. The teacher on the other hand has to be committed to the value of organizing the educational process and the public facilitied available to the school and this is one of the basic tenets of the value of honesty. The teacher has to apply the value of honesty in the curricula he/she teaches and how to use this value practically.
