Abstract
The rapid advancements in technology and telecommunications, especially the Internet, have led to an explosive growth of Web-based Internet Applications. This work presents a framework for the development of a web based information system for doctor’s directory. ?The system connects patients with medical specialists (consultants) in diverse areas of medicine. It does not only provide information about the specialists; the patient can as well secure an appointment with the specialists. We propose a three-tier Internet Service architecture for the directory.
