Abstract
This article shows the role of the clinical (practice-oriented) legal training students in acquisition of practical skills. It outlines the main directions, goals and objectives of legal clinics, which are created as structural subdivisions of higher educational institutions. The feasibility of inclusion in the clinical teaching of student clinicians of the special course on client interviewing, applying for legal aid. Highlights the nature and specifi cs of the interview. Psychological rules of interviewing with the client. Shown their role in achieving the best re- sults in communicating with the client
