Abstract
The essence of the concepts “creativity”, “creativity”; using the retrospective method lit research looks at the phenomenon of creativity as a social and personal phenomenon; it reflects the philosophical, pedagogical and psychological approaches to interpretation of creativity and creativity in the context of personality development; analyzed the individual concepts of creativity that exist in science; summarized historical aspects of the philosophical understanding of creativity; examined contemporary definitions of creativity and creativity in the plane of the psycho-pedagogical research; specified theoretical views on the factors of creativity and mechanisms for creativity; the necessity of further studies of the process of creative development of personality; it is theoretically proved, that creativity is the highest form of activity, source of development and progress of society.
