Abstract
Cloud computing is one of the important research area in the field of software engineering. Cloud computing provides us mainly three types of services known as Infrastructure-as-a-Service IaaS, Platform-as-a-Service PaaS and Software-as-a-Service SaaS. In this study I will try to compute and compare the performance of one the important cloud storage i.e. Google docs with one of the most commonly used word processor i.e. MS Word 2007. In order to create the more usable and economic value based cloud computing, the principles, goals and structure of the cloud engineering is of vital importance. The objective of this study is to compute and analyze the performance of Googledocs and MS Word 2007 while creating document. I will compute different metrics like CPU Usage, Memory consumption, Kernel memory, link speed, threads and processes.
