UNDERSTANDING PROBLEM IN THE CONTEXT OF CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION

The problems of cross-cultural communication in modern society are considered in this article. The purpose of this research work is the determination of the difficulties and barriers connected with aspect of understanding. The authors considered the understanding problem in a cross-cultural context as the basis for successful communication between representatives of various languages and cultures. The main components of the competence, which influence on the ability to communicate effectively and respectively in other culture, are revealed. In the conclusion the authors emphasized that successful communication in a foreign language means the profound knowledge of language and sociocultural aspects.
