Abstract
The article deals with the data of morphemics and word-formation residual knowledge of future elementary school teachers. The reasons of mistakes and suggestions on their correction are given. The attention is given to a word as a unit, which has form and content. The necessity of structural semantic approach to a word as morphemic level unit.
