Abstract
Due to the constant studies of the environment, developing methodologies and equipment, there is more and more information on the negative influence of unfavorable nature factors on human health. Radon causing formation of the specific types of geopathogenesis is among these factors. The aim of the research is determining radon as a factor influencing human health, studying radon sources in buildings and assessing efficiency of using various materials as protective coatings. The analysis of the received data proves the major part of studied Kazakhstan territory to be safe for agriculture and recreation.
