Abstract
Cryptography is a scientific technique where the information is kept secured from the unauthorized users. It portrays crucial role in protecting data. It is used to make sure whether the contents of the message are transmitted confidentially without any variation. Network security is the most significant element in information security since it prevents the data and network-accessible resources from modification and unauthorized use. Cryptography is vital to IT security challenges, as it forms the basis in providing privacy, confidentiality and identity which together offers the core of entrusted e-commerce and communication. There is a wide range of cryptographic algorithms that plays a major role in the information security which helps in securing networks. Continuous researches are going on new cryptographic algorithms for more advanced techniques for ensuring safe communication. This paper yields the evaluation of certain encryption algorithms like AES, RSA, and Blowfish. A comparison has been carried out between AES, RSA, and Blowfish. A new algorithm called Honey Encryption is also discussed in this paper.
