Abstract
The article discusses the relevance of marketing research to assess competitive environment of the enterprise on the food market. The lack of information about the competitive environment leads to the fact that an enterprise cannot objectively evaluate their real position in the regional market. In the article presents the results of a marketing research brands and competitors of the enterprise, operating in the market of vegetable oil. Analysis of the competitiveness of the brand in comparison with main competitors on basic parameters is carried out by means of expert evaluations. The results of the research helped to identify areas that require adjustments to the marketing policy and offer corrective measures
