Abstract
Over the last period of time, the theory of terminology has been a subject of debate in various scientific circles. This article examines the issue of the concept in linguistics which has been widely discussed by linguistic scientists with so much interest lately. The author traces the prerequisites of this word’s etymology. Further she analyses and compares the modern scientists’ views which deal properly with this particular problem.
