ADHESIVE BOND CRACK RESISTANCE FEATURES EVALUATION METHODS

Abstract
Nowadays the characteristics of adhesive bond crack resistance are as yet little understood, therefore the development of new experimental characteristics detection methods is a current issue. VAK-A, Sprut Plus, Sprut-5M were used as adhesive compositions. Suggested methods allow increase in test accuracy and defined that adhesive bond crack resistance depends on the crack type. The authors prove that the crack retardation has to be evaluated in terms of stress state at the top of the crack.
