Abstract
In this article we analyzed syllabic division and syllable types in German and Kazakh by considering the location and quantity of non-syllabic consonant phonemes relative to syllable-building vowel. A comparative analysis of syllabic structures of both German and Kazakh was performed, which makes up the novelty of this study.
