EVOLUTION OF BUSINESS EDUCATION IN THE WORLD AND INTEGRATION MBA PROGRAMS IN UKRAINE

Abstract

Purpose. The subject of the research is theoretical and applied aspects of organizing and rationalization of Ukrainian business-education in the context of the concept “Life Long Learning”. The objective of the article is to clarify the specific features of training program for economic type specialists in higher educational establishments of USA, European Union and Ukraine, to study historic development of MBA and single out the most valuable elements of the corresponding training programs. The subject of the research are theoretical and applied aspects of organization and Improvement Ukrainian business education in the context of the concept ? Life Long Learning ?. The purpose the study is to learning of the training of specialists in economics in higher educational institutions of the USA, the European Union and Ukraine, by examining their historical development and to identify the most valuable elements of the development and training Methodology. Methodological and theoretical basis of the research consists of the works of foreign and national scholars. The methods applied are historical, abstract-logical, systemic one etc. Results. The article presents the study of the evolution of business-education in the world on the example of MBA and grounds are given to necessity, expedience and availability of the wider appliance not only the system of national higher education, but also in the system of further training within enterprises, firms, organizations of different forms of proprietorship. The history of development and establishment of training, based on MBA programs, is presented, as well as the programs of the most authoritative organizations of the world business-education, which proves considerable backlog and insufficient attention in Ukraine to such a component of manager higher education as MBA. As systematized researches show, the formation of educational doctrine and Specialists Training Strategy in the countries of EU and USA are implemented with the compulsory participation of employers and business representatives. In our country insufficient business understanding of the importance of participation in educational process and in the systemic staff preparation in general, and the managing staff in particular, stimulates insufficient spread and almost rudimentary state of MBA programs in the national system of higher education. Practical implications. National system of higher education requires more spreading and appliance of MBA worldly experience, aiming at new educational tendencies, particularly “Life Long Learning”. Besides, research results may be used both on the level of a separate enterprise and a separate branch when training or advancing the qualification of managers, administrators, all administrative body. This will enable both to enhance the efficiency of intro-reform studying and to account for branch and regional specific features of economic regulations. Conclusions. The experience of other countries shows that MBA program-based training doesn’t lose its topicality and expedience; moreover it advances together with progressing high requirements of the modern economic system. The appearance of different specializations in is the same time requirement, as focus on education or on professional advancement through all the professional activity. National education system, managers training practice inside an enterprise requires wider appliance of preparation tools, typical to MBA. Improving the system of firm qualification advancement via joint preparation on the basis of traditional MBA programs of “Life Long Learning” concept are suggested.
