Abstract
The article explores specific character of theoretical mechanics course which is determined by an extensive use of scientific notions when formulating the laws of mechanics, engineering and production to describe and explain physical and mechanical phenomena based on systematic and integrated approach. Theoretical justification and practical design of theoretical mechanics course are given based on the integration of academic content and subject-related integration of the future engineers’ teaching process itself. The grounds of teaching technology involving the use of “unconditional” pedagogic technologies are discussed with particular emphasis on active learning methods that have gained increasing popularity recently.
