REORGANISATION OF RAILWAY TRANSPORTATION OF KAZAKHSTAN

Railway transport is one of the main components of industrial infrastructure of Kazakhstan. The stability of the economy, national security and improvement of conditions and living standards depend on a stable and efficient operation of railway transport. Kazakhstan railways are now in the stage of targeted structural reforms, strategic planning of industry flexibility show the optimization of the transport market of the republic. For the Republic of Kazakhstan, which has a low density of population, vast territory and boundaries far away from the open sea, the effective functioning and development of rail transport is vital for improving the economy competitiveness. One of the priorities of the strategic course of Kazakhstan's joining the fifty most competitive countries in the world market is the development of transport infrastructure and services. The task is to organize the introduction of competitive transport network to the regional market for the leading position of the republic in Central Asia.
