Abstract
The article deals with the reconstruction of nature process according to the paleosol and paleocryo- genic characteristics. The authors show that Late Valdai pedogenic stratified depths of parent rock material for Holo- cene soils (pedocyclites and pedolithcyclites), which are compositions from elementary soil formations, were formed resulting from the process change of rhythmic layering, paleocryogenesis and specific pedogenic proc essing of each soil material in periglacial conditions. The transition from late Pleistocene glacial period to Holocene interglacial pe- riod was not gradual, but interchange of more cold (phasial) and less cold (interphasial) periods.
