THE PRINCIPLES OF MARKET REFORMS IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR OF ECONOMY OF UKRAINE

The subject of research is theoretical and applied aspects of formation and application of the principles of market reforms in the agricultural sector of economy of Ukraine. The aim of the work is to substantiate theoretically the principles of agricultural reforms, to determine whether it is necessary to apply them at the present stage of market reforms, to systematize them according to the certain criteria. When writing the article there were used the method of analysis and synthesis, the method of systematic approach as well as the method of generalization. The results of the work: considered the nature and organized the principles of market reforms in the agricultural sector of economy of Ukraine, proved the need of their application at the present stage of transformation conversions. The results of the work can be used in the development of the state agricultural policy and in practical activities of state government bodies. The following conclusions: strategic development of the agricultural sector of economy of Ukraine should be based on such principles of market reforms of economy of Ukraine as: the principles which reflect national interests in shaping of agricultural policy; the principles that express the market development of the agricultural sector; the principles that express the changes in property relations; the principles that express the democratic development of the agricultural sector; the principles that express the character of restoration of the agricultural sector in the new environment; the principles that express the state's role in the development of the agricultural sector; the principles that express the social orientation of agricultural reforms; the principles that express foreign orientation of the agricultural sector. Compliance with above mentioned principles, in our opinion, will give us the chance to provide food security of the country, competitiveness of the agricultural sector of economy of Ukraine, sustainable rural development.
