Abstract
For decrease in intensity of fretting of details “piston groove ? piston ring” is offered to increase the micro-hardness of working surfaces of piston groove of internal combustion engine piston by formation on its surface the strengthening covering by method of microarc oxidation. Influence of friction face microhardness on intensity of fretting of piston groove is theoretically proved.
