Abstract
Culturological features of the concepts of omission and idleness in ancient and modern philosophy and culture of the countries of Southeast Asia are analyzed in the article. The analysis of these concepts shows deep spiritual and anthropological character of the practices of omission and idleness directed on strategic objectives of self-improvement of the personality, social and transcendental overcoming of borders of human life, achievement of therapeutic effect and harmony in relationship between the human subject and the world.
