EXPLORATION ON THE FOUNDATION OF THE SUCCESS OF AMERICAN CONSTITUTIONALISM

The constitution of the United States of America has been well executed since 1787. The constitutional system of the United States is praised by scholars all over the world. This exquisite system design possesses reasons on various aspects including the ideology, the tradition, and the public support, etc. This thesis will analyze the underlying reasons hiding behind the American constitution including “natural law”, “pluralistic politics”, and “the supremacy of law” from three aspects of the ideological basis, historical tradition and the role of the people, and explore the profoundity of the success of American constitutionalism.
