SOCIAL MEDIA SPHERE AS ONE OF THE MAIN PLATFORMS OF EXTREMISM PROPAGANDA

Complex work on identification of terrorist threat in the world and in Russia in particular is regularly carried out by special services. In this aspect the main task consists in identification and timely blocking of information distribution of extremist character. The modern situation in the world demonstrated that it is necessary to carry out the preventive work than to investigate already made terrorist attacks. For optimization of fight against extremism, toughening of criminal liability for such offenses, and besides serious penalties, increase in term of deprivation are necessary.
