Abstract
The present paper shows data related to a physico-chemical parameters of water wells located near the blast zone in Gerdec in 2008. Gerdec village loctaed in north-west of city Tirana, the blast zone has this coordinates 41° 24′18.70 ″ lantitudes, 19° 37′ 59.63″ longitudes. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the well water quality through the physico-chemical parameters. The study has started in August 2011 and actualy is going on. We have analyzed nearly 240 well water samples in this area. Analysis was performed with standard methods for these parameters as follows: pH, temperature, conductivity, TDS, ammonia and nitrates. From the data obtained result that all the samples containing amount nitrate and ammonia over the maximum values of the standard of drinking water. The presence of undesirable substances is the source for the development of bacterial microorganisms. The presence of chemical contaminants can come from the location of wells, soil composition, no periodic maintenance and use of organic fertilizers on the soil near the wells.
