Abstract
Design methods of reinforced concrete members based on compression fields theory are presented. With these methods, equilibrium conditions, compatibility conditions, and stressstrain relationships for both the reinforcement and the diagonally cracked concrete are used to account the load-deformation response of a section subjected to shear.
