Abstract
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is predominantly seen in the older age group, the median age being 65 years. Renal failure is seldom seen, though infiltration by CLL cells is documented in about 63 to 90 of all CLL patients who underwent a post-mortem autopsy. Glomerulonephritis associated with CLL is considered to be a part of paraneoplastic syndrome. Tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) in CLL has been associated following treatment with fludarabine, bendamustine, rituximab and flavipridol. We report a case of CLL with diffuse proliferative glomerulonephritis with fibrocellular crescents and renal failure. Patient developed TLS following treatment with chlorambucil.
