Abstract
Multilingualism is the capability of speaking and writing of two or more languages, either by an individual speaker or by a community of speakers. The multilingual population outnumber monolingual speakers in the world's population. ?Bilingualism is present on all continents, in all classes of society, in all age groups. Multilingualism is becoming a social phenomenon guided by the needs of globalization and cultural exchange. Owing to the ease of access to information facilitated by the modern technologies, individuals' exposure to multiple languages is becoming increasingly frequent; thereby the need to acquire additional languages is highly stimulated.?Abstract/Article visualizations
