Abstract
Nocardiosis is a rare infection, commonly seen in the immunocompromised, having diverse presentations. This was a retrospective epidemiological analysis of 28 patients with Nocardia spp in their clinical samples , presenting at a tertiary hospital in South India during the years 2012-2013. We found that the most common predisposing condition was corneal ulcer following trauma to the eye, closely followed by immunosuppressant drugs and the most commonly obtained species was Nocardia asteroides.
