Abstract
ABSTRACT In this work, influence of different cutting fluids on machining induced residual stresses and in turn on distortion in aluminum alloy 2014 A T6 were studied by calculating residual stresses using indentation method. Results show that cutting fluids has significant effect on the residual stress distribution and distortion of components. It is also observed that machining induced stresses by using Synthetic oil are minimum leading to minimum distortion.
