Abstract
At present, not enough attention is paid to the psychological aspects of investment decisions. The article deals with the concept of free choice, which is focused on the possibility of an investor’s formulation of a large number of different alternatives and the potential willingness to implement any of them. Such an approach implies understanding and overcoming the psychological restrictions that prevent investor from identifying and selecting the direction of investment. Attention is paid to the constraints associated with the past, present and future. The formation of a rational investor’s mental attitude is considered.
