THE ATTRIBUTIVE USE OF COMPARATIVE IN THE POETRY OF A. A. AKHMATOVA

The article attempted to illustrate and describe the functioning (albeit quite rare) in the poetic text of A. A. Akhmatova, adjectives, adverbs and words of category of state in the comparative degree, in the attributive function, in the function of the detached or non-detached definitions. The author comes to the conclusion that the characteristic of immutability contributes to the functioning of comparative in structures of the type analyzed as a syncretic part of the sentence, combining the features of determination and predicate (nominal part of compound nominal predicate) or the definitions and circumstances (modus operandi).
