Abstract
The article provides a general review of peculiarities of the representation of Russia in German media discourse under current conditions of information war. The image of Russia composed of the description of social, economic and political situation is portrayed by German journalists in an extremely negative way, which is designed to influence the reflection of mass media recipients who become victims of one-sided approach to the management of information and take involuntary part in the information war in general.
