Abstract
The research results on the effect of afterharvest green manure on the soil porosity of typical black soil and the yield of potatoes are presented. The postharvest use of oil radish as green manure provides the optimum porosity
of the soil for growing potatoes, which resulted in obtaining high yields of tubers. Between the yield of green manure and potatoes and the porosity of the soil a direct correlation of medium strength was found.
