Abstract
Strategic human resources management includes acceptance of human resources management practices and systems that help business organisations gain their vision and strategic goals, simultaneously ensuring their competitive advantage. As the essence of the long-term competitive advantage lies in its sustainability, this issue also relates to the concept of sustainable development. Corporate sustainable development is defined in various ways and includes economic, environmental, and societal dimension. Numerous studies have shown that human resources or human capital are a very important source of long-term sustainability, both on a corporate level as well as at the national level. In this paper, through the analysis of previous studies, we point out the importance of strategic human resource management for the long-term business sustainability.
