Abstract

The article shows that a prerequisite for the misunderstanding, fixed by linguistic anecdotes, may be a wrong interpretation of these words due to incompetence hearer (most often) and the speaker (at least) related to the units of different language levels. The article may be useful for specialists in the study of understanding and interpretation, rhetoric and language play.
