Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of practical experience of enterprises of Russian machine-building for the development and implementation of innovative projects. The author attempted to explore the assumptions and results of the implementation of the most significant innovations in various industries from defense industry to the railway industry in terms of intensification of the policy of import substitution.
