Abstract
This article presented today composite compounds used in increased frictional brake linings (linings) and the clutch disks. The composite material - a structural (metal or non-metallic) material, in which there are reinforcing elements vvide its yarns, fibers or flakes more durable material. Now on the market there are three main types of composite materials for buses, trucks and cars, they summarized that the brake pads as in the clutch disks. This organic (with non-metallic matrix), metal-containing (metal matrix) and a ceramic (inorganic). Of course, there are some types that combine these basic types, for example, metal-ceramic, nizkometallicheskie, ie the percentage of the metal is small, the rest contains organic compounds. Next, we look at these compounds in more detail. Also highlighted, which have compositions of the invention to improve the mechanical and thermal durability and friction products. It should be noted that the clutch elements resources are limited and do not reach the average life of 100 - 150 thousand kilometers.. But it all depends not only on the friction material, but on driving style, that is the correct operation of the vehicle. Therefore, based on this assessment can be given performance brake pads and clutch discs highlight the advantages and disadvantages in their use.
