SEMIOTIC DESCRIPTION OF THE EMERGENCE AND FURTHER SPREAD OF CHRISTIANIT

The development of many phenomena of culture can be viewed through the prism of semiotics. According to a semiotic approach, a new phenomenon is emerging on the periphery of the semiosphere but then can become its center and displace the old centre. That was Christianity, went all the way from a sect within Judaism to one of the world's religions and displacing the older religious beliefs of the Roman Empire, and later Europe.
