Abstract
The article analyzes the main directions of improving the yield of corn. It is shown that one of the most effective ways is the use adapted to specific soil and climatic conditions and hybrids. The characteristics of the promising hybrids of maize and their parental forms, which are recommended for cultivation in conditions of Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
