DEVELOPMENT OF MATHEMATICS IN RUSSIA IN THE MIDDLE OF THE 18TH CENTURY

Mathematical education was in Russia till the 13th century at the level of the countries of Eastern and Western Europe. At 15-16 centuries in connection with strengthening of the Russian state and economic growth of the country requirements of society for mathematical knowledge have considerably increased. In the eighteenth century activities of mathematicians were concentrated in the field of the analysis and its annexes to mechanics.
