SNOW RETENTION AS AN EFFECTIVE METHOD OF INCREASE OF PRODUCTIVITY OF CROPS IN KABARDINO-BALKAR REPUBLIC

In work the problem of use of acceptances of snow retention in Kabardino-Balkar Republic is considered. It is shown that the major factor determining success of cultivation of crops in the republic is their moisture security during the vegetative period. For the problem resolution of moisture security of plants it is recommended to carry out snow retention which promotes deduction and accumulating of snow on fields, arable lands and land areas, protection of plants against destruction by frost and to increase in inventories of moisture in the soil.
