Abstract

In article the condition of the insurance market of the Russian Federation through indicators of the size and structure of insurance premiums and payments, level of payments is described; the current trends occurring in the market during 2012-2014 are characterized: merge of the companies, introduction of obligatory insurance of responsibility of owners of especially dangerous objects. Relevance of a subject of research is that the insurance market is one of the most important components of financial safety of the country. Without the developed insurance market it is impossible to provide forward social and economic development of the state, safe functioning of subjects of managing, increase of welfare of the population, safety of various spheres of his activity. The Russian insurance market has appeared in a difficult situation: rates of a gain of contributions are reduced, unprofitability grows, insurers are under enormous pressure and from other financial markets (volatility of stock market, rate fluctuation of currencies, revocations of licenses and sharp braking in the banking market). The difficult macroeconomic situation and extension of sanctions against Russia only add uncertainty. In the last decade the Russian insurance market has appeared in a difficult situation that was especially brightly shown again in recent years. The following problems and negative tendencies are characteristic of the modern insurance market: rates of a gain of contributions are reduced, unprofitability grows, insurers are under enormous pressure from other financial markets. The difficult macroeconomic situation and extension of sanctions against Russia only add uncertainty.
