CUSHION PLANTS IN NAKHCHIVAN AUTONOMOUS REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN AND THEIR PHYTOCENOSIS

Abstract
The flora of this area is currently represented by 175 families, 902 genera and 3019 species. In this region we have established 17 types of vegetation. The type of cushion vegetation has been divided into two formation classes: thorn cushion plants and non-thorn cushion plants. In Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic we have for the first time identified and described about 30 species of cushion plants belonging to 14 families and 26 genera.
