EFFECTIVE TECHNOLOGY FOR YARN QUALITY IMPROVEMENT BY SELECTING COTTON FIBERS IN THE ELECTRIC FIELD

This article considers the possibility of producing competitive yarn given the quality of available low-grade raw cotton fibers by sorting them according to their maturity. The values of physical and mechanical properties of the yarn are defined in compliance with international standard method, i. e. resistance per kilometer (Rkm), taking into account micronaire and breaking load. By calculating the strength index, the improvement of yarn quality is confirmed, which is the major novelty of the study.
