The author conducts a research of the country competiveness category. The article shows two opposite approaches to the role of shadowzation as a process in the modern global economy. Distinguishes hierarchical levels of shadowzation. They studied specific principles of the existence and development of the shadow economy. Identifies the shadowzation effect on the national economy competitiveness.
