Abstract
The accelerated surge of the web resources is one of the current research areas. Focused crawler is one of the resources discovery systems; this is used to fetch the appropriate web pages based on the search topic from the WWW. Here, we discussed about different approaches of focused crawler for relevance prediction and also for finding the appropriate contents. Ontology is one of the techniques for describing the knowledge and for finding the relationship between the concepts. Thus, this survey deals with focused crawler using ontology.
