Predictors of Job Satisfaction of Special Education Supervisors in Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Abstract

The study aimes to identify predictors of satisfaction working with special education supervisors in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and reveal the level of job satisfaction among special education supervisors, the study is applied on a sample of (306) supervisors' Special Education. The results showed that both (attitudes towards people with disabilities, emotional intelligence, psychological needs, self-efficacy), all of which impact on job satisfaction among supervisors of Special Education in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, has interpreted the amount of (83.1 %) of job satisfaction among Special Education supervisors. The variable (attitudes towards the disabled) was in the first place and with the amount (69.4 %) of the variance in the dependent variable, and the variable (emotional intelligence) was in second place with variable (attitudes towards the disabled) and the amount was (76.3 %) of the variance in the dependent variable, in third place was the variable (psychological needs) with all of the variables ex (attitudes towards the disabled, emotional intelligence) and the amount was (80.3 %) of the variance in the dependent variable, and finally came the variable (self-efficacy) with the above variables (attitudes towards the disabled, intelligence emotional and psychological needs) and the amount was (83.1 %). The results also showed an average level of satisfaction with supervisors of special education. In light of the findings, the study recommends inviting officials to special education centers in supervisors the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to achieve emotional stability of the supervisors through professional ease of the pressure, and help them to feel good about working as supervisors of special education.
